Make more content

(+2)

On it, chief :)

(1 edit) (+2)(-1)
I finished the game
(-3)

can you please add more content it takes me ten minutes to finish

(+2)(-1)

Yup, I've been working on a full version but it's not quite ready yet.

(+1)(-3)

ok thanks it just needs a bit more content

(+1)(-1)

for the micrometer stage it takes a wile for the balls to fall down but they wont fall for me lol

(1 edit)

Thats because the balls are so big that the second one just stays on the first

(+1)(-1)

I was gonna say this sounds like loot loop loot, I was surprised it was from the same person!

(+1)(-1)

lol that's pretty funny, the naming scheme works!

(+2)(-1)

pro tip use the magic in the meter and only put them in the top row only will save lots of dolarinos

(-2)

if you max out the shrink ray in the millimeter one it looks like multiple people doing beat saber X (made that up)

(+2)(-1)

I lllllllllloooooovvvvveeeee it so satisfying when you max out  the laser beam

(-2)

I hope more updates happen

(+1)(-2)

oh here's an idea the balls attack when you max out everything

(+2)(-1)

Thanks, I'm indeed working on a new version right now. I have some plans regarding balls that fight back :)

(-2)

and mods

(-3)

and also when you max out you get infinite money

(-2)

and custom maps

(+2)(-1)

This game is amazing! It's super smooth and has a very satisfying endgame. I love it! I was wondering, I'm learning HTML, CSS and JS right now, but what did you use to make this game? I'm thinking that it's probably unity, but I'm not sure. Great game, lots of fun. My best speedrun to maxed prestige menu  is around 12 minutes! <3

(-1)

Thanks for playing :)

I used Unity and that made the physics stuff pretty easy since it's built in. I've seen some js ones that are similar though such as https://poochyexe.github.io/pachinkremental/pachinkremental.htm

(-2)

complete

(-2)

Make more upgrades please, would help alot.

(the only reason i posted this is because i've already completed the game)

(+2)(-1)

No worries, there'll be quite a lot of new stuff coming in the future :)

(-2)

You should be able to choose spots for the ten spaces in each level. It would add more crazy strategies

I considered that early on since that is the normal TD approach. This was done for an incremental/idle game jam so I want to focus more on the feeling of progression over strategy. With that said, I am considering such things in the full version of this.

Yeah. It was a suggestion for a full version.

(1 edit)

Yo, figured I'd let you know here, in case I'm not the only one: Your Discord's tellin' me to answer the question but not giving me any question to answer.  Just typical Message Failed To Load stuff.

I'm in a large number of servers, I'm used to all manner of bot checks and the like. So I'm really not sure why this one doesn't appear to be working for me. I'll keep working at it tomorrow.

Either way, really looking forward to the full version. Cheers, mate.

(+2)

Thanks for the heads up, the bot was actually down and didn't notice til I saw this, sorry about that!

No problem, got in just fine now. Glad I could help.

Can you make it so that the beams all fire at the same time, like for an item in the GB shop.

Won't be updating this gamejam version but will certainly consider that for the full version :)

How do you not use only one type of weapon?

When you prestige, you are given special currency. You can use that currency in the GB shop to buy new weapons and upgrades.

very fun game

Thanks :)

(1 edit)

After having all the GB upgrades this is my final set up:
lvl1: magic: all upgrades maxed maxed, with 2 towers

lvl2: shrink ray: all upgrades and all towers

lvl3: splitter: only slicer upgrades, no buzzsaw upgrades, all towers.

Reason for no buzzsaw is that I get more slices and thus more balls and thus more money.

Now I need to wait for more content :P

Tbh I never even thought of that @ no-buzzsaw strat. Sometimes they do get stuck that way though and it'll push your cpu to the limit handling all the balls :P

what does the last GB upgrade mean when it says its multiplicative.

It's just a lot stronger than other upgrades that may be additive.

Very pog

This game is so good, one of my favourite idle/incremental games, you HAVE to add more content and make progression a bit slower, having an ability to save would also be amazing! :D Keep up the great work!

Thanks, I'm in the process of doing both actually. I'm currently working on a full version of the game with quite a bit more content.

how do i change the weapon i want to place

Unfortunately you'll have to Prestige and reset your layout to handle that scenario.

(1 edit) (+1)

Nice time waster, the splitter with 50% of dmg and split balls is broken to use if you unlock the third stage early

(+1)

For sure. This was a gamejam entry so I wanted to go out with a bang!

(1 edit) (+1)

Solid game. Short, no endgame. As soon as I had splitter, double damage, and all three stages arranging shrink magic splitter(buzzsaw makes a big difference) to abuse the high magic base damage and explosions and then to make full use of splitter on the third zone you can snowball almost too easily. I suspect as few as 3 shrinks are enough in the first zone, you want to stack as much magic as possible in the second, and a few splitters in the last to get the flow of big money going, especially with extra splits and jackpot.

I'm sitting as able to redeem 350 golden balls as I type this with all 3 stages fully upped, so this is basically where the game ends.

It would be interesting if you could use the same weapon on all 3 areas after "beating the game" if only to see what truly maxed splitter cashflow looks like.

(+1)

Thanks for playing :)

Yea this game was made for a game jam so I didn't have much time to put in an endgame. I'm currently working on a full version and that's something I'm addressing (along with balance).

I like your idea of mix and matching weapons. To me that's the definition of incremental game: feeling a huge growth of power over time. Balance will be crazy but I'd love to see what adjacent ideas I could do there!

(1 edit)

As an experiment, I decided to try going from fresh to full board and I hit full prestige upgrades at 9 minutes, max clearspeed at 11-12 minutes, and after around 30 minutes sitting with two nodes left in the first area at 500 golden balls waiting for reset I mercy killed it because as is there isn't really any point going further.

The game really moves fast once you know what to do.

Wow, a game like this that isn't Ad infested? Holy cow, I am surprised and I am proud of it. Keep up the hard work and take your time, this is amazing. I used to find games like this on mobile but this one is much better.

Thanks, I've been working on updates to the game, though I'm currently taking a short detour for Ludum Dare :)

Its alright take your time, is that another game I should check out? 😄

You can take a peek but I have no guarantees you'll like it because it's a 100% different genre haha

Admin (1 edit)

great idea! I bumped you up on the itch.io homepage in the fresh game section!

Thanks so much for your support! Didn't see this comment til recently - got my head down working on updates :)

(+2)

This is actually one of the best idle games I have played recently! Thanks for this!

Deleted 3 years ago

you can start by placing 3 shrink rays vertically in the general middle area, and work to get range; or get it right away! I'd recommend also getting the upgrade that lets the shrink rays target 2 balls at once :D Extremely helpful early game!

(+1)

Yup that's correct, either a vertical column like that, or make sure you get the range upgrade right off the bat. For those that see this in the future, if you do get stuck, hit the prestige button to reset your formation.

(1 edit)

Edit: I figured out how to get an upgrade.  One has to click on the dollar amount next to the weapon name to be able to choose one of the A/B/C/D/E upgrades. One per weapon upgrade. Not intuitive to me.  Probably due to the lack of adequate tooltip text.  I had been under the impression that the weapon upgrades would cost money, like they usually do in other games.

I fail to see how to buy Range right away as it costs more then $25.  Hitting prestige before getting at least 1 golden ball is the same as hitting Reset so umm doesnt really help if one gets stuck multiple times.

Oops sorry for the late reply. Yea the upgrade system is pretty unintuitive and certainly different than how TDs work so thanks for pointing it out for other players!

(+2)

Cool game!  I played until I maxed it all out :)

Same! i got a game with like, literally every tower place, all upgrades, and all the golden ball thingies unlocked XD it's got $2.5e7 atm .-. I can prestige for 1079 golden balls .-.

Amazing, these type of simple but extremely satisfying games are becoming a trademark of yours.

(+1)

I love this game

Would love to see this with more depth, the core loop and ideas are already so fun ! Great job !

(+1)

Thanks a lot, I was surprised at how the game turned out myself and am giving a lot more thought into if/how I'd flesh it out!

Please keep this game up, I love the idea and would love to keep playing it!

Oh man if only I had leaderboards, that's definitely one of the highest I've seen.

(+1)

This is fucking cool, now that I get how stages work.

I hope to see this further developed.

(+1)

Great game! I have a few suggestions:

  • I'd change the golden balls gained to be a % (rounded to the nearest integer) of total money earned. Because currently it makes no sense to wait for the second ball, it's better to prestige constantly at one ball until you're already over-powered.
  • I'd also make it so the unspent golden balls give you extra damage/money earned. So there's an incentive to continue playing after you've got everything.
  • And also, the randomness of the Magic weapon feels too unreliable, I'd make it so they prioritize the lowest balls (in position), so that it's more viable.

I had so much fun playing it! Good luck

(+1)

Thanks for all the suggestions! I did notice various issues with the end game and those are great ideas. I'll definitely be considering them if I do an update.

Awesome game! Very Creative. Much like!

(-1)

The warnings should say addictively fun

(+2)

One of the most engaging incremental I have played recently. Shame it's so short, I would love to try to optimize the strategy even more!
