Made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 51 (theme: every 10 seconds)

NOTE: Not all spell combos can do enough damage! See the tips below if stuck.

  1. Drag scrolls/cards onto a character's timeline.
  2. Your character will cast a scroll as long as the blocks don't overlap.
  3. Do enough damage by the end 10 secs to expel the ghost.
  4. If you don't do enough damage, everything will reset. Try out different combinations and timings!

If you get stuck

  1. Try this sequence for the first ghost
  2. Move around your scrolls so that their timing lines up and combo into each other.
  3. Restart and choose different spells than last time. Some spells are strong but hard to time. Some spells are weak but useful for positioning.

The idea behind the game is to combo your spells together. Try this setup and observe how the spells play together

Still think it's crazy you can beat this game with only one exorcist (save for the first stage). Love revisiting every once in a while :)

I feel like there's some unique mechanic here I'm not getting. All I see is that there's a bit of trying to get everything to fit and nothing else. I think I'm missing smthn

That's half the battle. The other half is placing things to change the timing so that the attacks properly combo into each other. It's a fairly easy game though so it's possible to accidentally create game winning combos just dragging onto the timeline.

Ah so like by having multiple attacks running at the same time you can deal more damage or something like that?

Yea, like pushing the enemy upwards so that squirrels will all fly into them or something.

This game rules. I love the bouncing / physics aspect.

Thanks a lot!

Cool Idea! it was interesting how much a second of waiting could change the affect of the spells

Very innovative game design! Love it!

Leaf shield OP-- you get a free extra casting when entering a new level with them already partially active, which in combination with Magic Missile and stalactites clears the entire game.

nice!
